Jess A Sketch began as a very organic side project for lead artist & founder Jessica Talazac, who mainly has worked in the world of Events for the last 16 years.

Born into a legacy of elementary school teachers, she has glitter in her veins and has been arts & crafts obsessed since childhood. She started drawing chalk signs in 2005 for the coffee shop where she worked through high school & college, and then started drawing them for wedding and event clients when she began working for a portfolio of event venues in 2008.

Through word-of-mouth and referrals, the requests for other art projects grew, and Jessica officially established the brand name “Jess A Sketch” and created an Instagram page in 2016. In 2024, she created her first large-scale mural for Katie’s Restaurant and decided to further develop the business with hopes of growing and creating more than ever in 2025 & beyond!
